The TPE331-12B features a single-shaft design that provides the immediate throttle response required for military pilot training. The broader TPE engine family encompasses 18 models and 106 configurations, accumulating over 122 million flight hours across more than 13,000 global deliveries.
Supply chain recovery and production targets

Mobix Labs, Inc. (Nasdaq: MOBX) has secured its initial production order to supply Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) filtered connectors for the F-16 Fighting Falcon, expanding the manufacturers component footprint across major United States military aircraft programs.
Announced in a September 08, 2026, press release, the contract was awarded in partnership with an unnamed veteran-owned U.S. aerospace sustainment contractor. Initial shipments of the components, which are manufactured at the company’s military-approved EMI Solutions facility in Irvine, California, have already been delivered. The balance of the order is scheduled for delivery in the coming weeks.
Expanding defense platform integration

Italian Air Force Orders Two More MQ-9A Block 5 Reapers
Italy orders two MQ-9A Block 5 Reaper drones under a $738M FMS deal, with deliveries scheduled for late 2027.

The Italian Air Forces (ItAF) will expand its uncrewed fleet with the acquisition of two additional MQ-9A Block 5 Reaper Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) and associated Ground Control Stations (GCS) from General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI). The manufacturer announced the order in a September 8, 2026, press release, noting that deliveries are scheduled for the end of 2027.
The procurement falls under a broader Foreign Military Sale (FMS) approved by the U.S. State Department and announced by the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) on August 15, 2024. That agreement cleared Italy to purchase up to six MQ-9 Block 5 aircraft and related equipment for an estimated $738 million.
Fleet replenishment and procurement strategy

The agreement covers an end-to-end solution for the Canadian Armed Forces. Beyond the delivery of the aircraft, the contract includes payloads, ground control stations, data links, training, and sustainment services.
Volatus Aerospace Chief Executive Officer Glen Lynch stated that the contract validates the company’s integrated model, which extends beyond hardware delivery to include technical support and payload integration.
“Canada is seeking sovereign, secure and supportable defence technologies that can be fielded efficiently and scaled as operational requirements evolve,” Lynch said.
