Code Breaker
Find the day's airport code in 6 tries. Every guess must be a real airport code.
How to play Code Breaker
Each day hides one three-letter airport code from the 150 busiest airports in the world. Type a real airport code as your guess: each letter turns green when it is in the right place, yellow when it is in the code but elsewhere, and grey when it is not in the code at all. Every guess also tells you which airport you named, so each try teaches something.
You have six tries. Like Wordle, but with airport codes: the same code for everyone today, a grid of coloured squares to share without giving the answer away, and a free play mode with a new code whenever you want one.
Tips
- Open with codes that use common letters, like LAX, SIN or DEN.
- A yellow letter can sit in either of the two other places: try both before spending a guess elsewhere.
- A code can use the same letter twice, so a letter already found may still be the answer for another place.
Where the data comes from
Airport codes from OurAirports and Wikidata; the busiest airports by passengers from Wikidata.
