AirPro Games
Can It Make It?
An aircraft and a route: is it within the range the maker publishes? Ten routes, half of them too far.
How to play Can It Make It?
Each round names an aircraft, from the A220 to the 777-8, the ATR 72 or a Gulfstream, and a route between two airports. Is the route within the range the aircraft's maker publishes? Answer yes or too far, then see the distance along the great circle against the published range, with the maker's own conditions for it.
Half the routes in a game are within range. None is a close call: on Easy they stay at least a quarter away from the range, with airliners and the 150 busiest airports; on Hard, ten per cent, with 84 of the 90 aircraft of the range list (business jets, freighters and light aircraft too) and every large airport. Every aircraft can come up either way, so the type never gives the answer away; the longest-range jets play on Hard only. Real flights also depend on payload, winds and reserves.
Tips
- A narrow-body like the A320neo flies about 6,300 km (3,400 NM); the wide-bodies range from about 11,800 km (A330-300) to 17,600 km (777-8).
- Regional turboprops like the ATR 72 or the Dash 8-400 fly 1,300 to 1,600 km: they connect cities within a region, not across oceans.
Where the data comes from
Each aircraft's range as its maker publishes it on its own website, read on 8 October 2026, the same list as the AirPro Atlas; distances along the great circle between airports from OurAirports and Wikidata.
