Business aviation is the part of the industry that flies on the customer’s schedule: corporate flight departments, charter and fractional operators, and the manufacturers, FBOs and maintenance providers that serve them. The aircraft run from single-engine turboprops to ultra-long-range jets built by Gulfstream, Bombardier, Dassault, Embraer, Textron Aviation and Pilatus, and the market has grown structurally since 2020 as more companies and individuals moved to private flying. This page gathers every AirPro News story on business aviation, newest first.
What we watch
- New aircraft and deliveries. Gulfstream’s G700 and G800, Bombardier’s Global 8000, Dassault’s Falcon 6X and 10X, Embraer’s Praetors, Cessna Citations and Beechcraft turboprops, and the quarterly delivery numbers that show where demand is.
- Operators. Fractional programmes, jet cards and charter marketplaces, fleet orders from NetJets, Flexjet, VistaJet and their peers, and the consolidation among operators.
- FBOs and airports. Ground handling networks, hangar and terminal investment at business-aviation airports, and the fuel and SAF supply on the ramp.
- Maintenance and support. Authorised service centres, independent MROs, engine programmes and the parts and technician shortages that affect business jets as much as airliners.
- Regulation and sustainability. Certification of new types, operating rules, and the sector’s response to emissions scrutiny through SAF, book-and-claim and efficiency.
